Bob steps down

DHL Global Forwarding’s Kmiotek retires after 25 years

One of the leading lights of Europe’s air cargo business is retiring. Bob Kmiotek is leaving DHL Global Forwarding at the end 2017 after 25 years of service.

Henk Venema, senior vice-president, global head of network carrier management at DHL Global Forwarding said: “Bob will start his well-deserved retirement after having fulfilled various roles in DHL Global Forwarding, in the last capacity as the vice-president of network cargo management for the Americas. For now, all I can do and say is to thank him very much for continuous hard work, non-stop dedication, common sense and network driven view.”

Cathay Pacific’s head of cargo global accounts and marketing Jeanette Mao and cargo sales development manager Frank Wu flew to Bonn in Germany to present Bob with a model freighter. Jeanette said: “It has been our great pleasure to work with Bob over the years, and we wish him the very best for his retirement.”
