Celebrating 60 years of Cathay Pacific in Taipei

Cathay Pacific’s Taipei team hosted a dinner event for its cargo agents to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its service between Hong Kong and Taiwan. The event on 21 June at Chateau de Felicite Taipei was attended by more than 320 guests from the local cargo and travel trade communities.

In his opening remarks, Nelson Chin, General Manager Cargo Commercial, said the anniversary was an ‘important milestone’. Tony Sham, Regional Head of Marketing and Sales North East Asia, added that Cathay Pacific is committed to Taiwan for the long term. ‘Taiwan will remain an important part of our regional and worldwide operations,’ he said.

Agatha Lee, Area Head of Taiwan, said the anniversary reflected not only the dedication of customers, but also the efforts of Cathay Pacific teams both past and present. The airline will continue to provide the ‘best service and products to our customers and passengers,’ she added.

The management team also gave a toast to everyone at the dinner, thanking them for all their support over the years.

Live music and dancing accompanied the dinner, adding a party mood to the anniversary celebration.
