Cathay Pacific Cargo was named Best Cargo Airline – Asia Pacific at the 2019 Cargo Airline of the Year Awards presented by Air Cargo News.
The awards are now in their 35th year and cover 14 categories, including the best cargo airlines in five regions around the globe. Winners are determined based on a mix of voting by supply chain professionals and company submissions.
For the Best Cargo Airline award in each of the global regions – Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East – shippers, freight forwarders and other cargo industry players voted on the Air Cargo News website for the airlines they thought provided the best overall customer experience and service.
The awards also included judged categories, in which Hong Kong International Airport won Freighter Hub of the Year.
Cargo Account Manager Georgette Blanchard picked up the award on behalf of Cathay Pacific Cargo at the event, which was hosted at a venue close to London Heathrow. She said: ‘The team at Cathay Pacific Cargo is very honoured to be voted for this award by our cargo customers. The team works incredibly hard to maintain a consistent and high level of service in the industry, and it is rewarding to know this is appreciated by our customers. We would like to thank them very much for their support.’
