Cathay Pacific Cargo wins three years in a row at the AFLAS Awards

Cathay’s commitment to innovation sets it apart as Asia Cargo News readers name it Best Air Cargo Carrier – Asia once again

Cathay Pacific Cargo made it three years in a row when it won the title for ‘Best Air Cargo Carrier – Asia’ at the 2022 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards, reflecting its status as a trusted air-cargo carrier.

The awards ceremony, hosted and organised annually by Asia Cargo News, was held at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on 7 September. The AFLAS Awards are designed to recognise logistics organisations which ‘demonstrate leadership, consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability.’ Nominees are chosen and voted for by Asia Cargo News’ 15,000 readers.

Tom Owen, Director Cargo, collected the award for Cathay Pacific. ‘We are delighted to receive this award and to be recognised once more by the readers of Asia Cargo News as Best Air Cargo Carrier – Asia,’ said Owen. ‘Winning this award for the third time in a row makes it very special, and shows that we are a trusted airline partner for the logistics industry in spite of the challenges we have faced over the past year.

‘We know that every shipment matters now and in the future, so we have continued to invest in our people and new and exciting innovations to continuously improve our quality and service. These have included our online booking platform Click & Ship which we launched last year; and we were proud to introduce Asia’s first Corporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel Programme for cargo shipments this year, along with a dedicated carbon offset programme.

‘I would like to pass on my enormous thanks to our cargo teams in Hong Kong and around the world for their dedication and hard work, as well as the readers of Asia Cargo News for their vote. As an award-winning air cargo carrier, we will continue to focus our attention on providing solutions that our customers value, and investments in digital technologies to make us more agile and responsive to our customers’ needs.’
